What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Technician position at Auto Crafters Collision?
Duties:
- Perform auto body repairs on vehicles
- Conduct auto estimating to determine the extent of damage and repair costs
- Repair and replace damaged body panels, fenders, doors, and other components
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to move and position vehicles and parts
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming
- Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment
- Perform auto painting to match existing vehicle colors or create custom finishes
- Repair or replace auto glass as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction
- Collaborate with other automotive repair professionals, such as mechanics, to complete repairs efficiently
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in automotive repair
- Proficiency in auto body repair techniques and tools
- Familiarity with reading auto estimates
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the job
- Skilled in airless paint spraying techniques for a smooth finish (would really like a combo guy)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to match paint colors accurately (Part of the combo guy but not required)
Note: Additional skills in mechanics or related areas would be a plus.
