Auto Driveaway is a leading national provider of professional vehicle relocation services. Auto Driveaway primarily serves large corporate fleets, fleet management companies, upfitters, dealerships and vehicle OEMs with fast, safe and reliable door-to-door driveaway and trucked transportation service nationwide. Services include fleet shipping and fleet management services; single vehicle “door-to-door driveaway” shipping; expedited shipping; enclosed carrier shipping for high-value vehicles; international (overseas) shipping; short-term and long-term vehicle storage; licensing, titling and registration of vehicles; and vehicle maintenance and reconditioning services.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team of high performing individuals to handle all trucked transport requests
- Establish and implement operational best practices for completing trucked transportation orders, emphasizing efficiency, profitability and customer experience
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Sales and Operations personnel to maximize customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Build and maintain a managed supply chain of auto transport carriers able to accommodate Auto Driveaway’s needs at appropriate price points with the highest safety standards, exceptional communication and customer experience
- Grow the business, as appropriate, with customers that utilize trucked transportation to move vehicles of all types throughout the United States
- Manage financial performance and adherence to budget
- Work closely with leadership to execute on company-wide initiatives
- Serve as the escalation point for projects, issues and challenges for all trucked transportation needs
- Build strong relationships with auto transport carriers and customers to grow the business and exceed customer expectations
- Maintain regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure Auto Driveaway is meeting needs and expectations
- Grow Auto Driveaway’s reputation as the driveaway company of choice across the United States
Requirements
- College degree required
- 3-5 years of operational experience in a managerial role
- People leadership experience required
- Strong background in transportation, logistics or related fields
- Direct experience in auto transportation and carrier management
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements preferred
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong financial acumen
- High energy, enthusiasm and drive for achieving results
- Passionate about safety and customer experience
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Project planning and project management skills
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment, recognizing a sense of urgency and self-motivation
