Thelen Auto Group is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Body Shop Apprentice to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As a Body Shop Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our body shop operations by performing various tasks that assist our experienced technicians and maintain a clean and organized workspace. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in automotive body repair and refinishing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Shop Cleanliness : Maintain a clean and orderly shop environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing tools and equipment. Ensure all work areas are free of debris and hazards to promote a safe and efficient working atmosphere.
- Accessory Installation : Assist with the installation of vehicle accessories as directed by the body shop technicians. This may include items such as spoilers, trailer hitches, body side moldings, etc.
- Vehicle Tear Downs : Support the tear-down process by carefully removing and disassembling vehicle parts and components. Follow instructions and ensure that all parts are handled with care to avoid damage.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance : Assist with the maintenance and organization of shop tools and equipment. Ensure that all tools are in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Assistance to Technicians : Provide general assistance to body shop technicians and other staff as required, including fetching tools, holding parts in place, and other support tasks.
