Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, coupled with excellent customer service skills. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, providing accurate estimates for repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. Your expertise in various automotive systems will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality service.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs using CCC one and all other necessary software.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and costs.
- Collaborate with technicians to ensure all necessary repairs are accounted for in estimates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques and technologies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and repair timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies throughout the estimating process.
Requirements
- Experience with writing estimates using CCC One
- Understanding repair processes and auto body industry
- The ability to communicate affectively with insurance companies
- Must know how to deal with insurance companies
- Proven experience in automotive repair or related fields, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of brake repair, shocks/struts, tire service, diesel engine repair, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with dealership environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple estimates effectively.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics to accurately assess vehicle conditions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $83,775.00 - $89,371.00 per year
