Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our dynamic service department. The Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. You will be responsible for accurately diagnosing service needs, providing cost estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of automotive repair, and a desire to help customers keep their vehicles in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
The Automotive Service Advisor has the following responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assess their vehicle service needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Advise customers on necessary maintenance and repair services based on diagnostic results and technician input.
- Provide clear, accurate estimates for parts, labor, and service costs.
- Schedule service appointments and manage customer expectations regarding completion times.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicle repairs and expected completion times.
- Ensure all service records and documents are accurately completed and processed in the system.
- Coordinate with technicians and parts departments to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Upsell additional services or parts as needed while maintaining a customer-first attitude.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Stay updated on automotive technology, repair techniques, and dealership processes to offer the best advice to customers.
- Manage daily service department operations, ensuring quality service, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support the service department.

Requirements:
The Automotive Service Advisor should have the following skills, education and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications or training is a plus.
- 1 years of experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service-related role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex automotive issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of technicians and other service department staff.
- Proficient in using computers, service scheduling software, and related tools.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
