Job Overview
Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roads is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Previous experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
