What are the responsibilities and job description for the Car Wash Detail Manager position at Auto Spa Etc?
The Detail Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for day to day operations at the detail center.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
*Customer Care*
* Ensure customer satisfaction.
* Serve as the responsible party Auto Spa Etc. when dealership, equipment and staff issues arise when other management is not on the premises.
* Serves as the first point of customer (dealership) escalation for service-related issues, and works to reconcile complaints in a timely manner. Documents all complaints and communicates these to the General Manager.
* Manage overall vehicle flow and production in detail center operation.
* Open & Close the detail center and complete assigned duties associated within.
* Understanding of basic google doc systems and spreadsheets and ability evaluate labor costs
* Manage inventory of chemicals, towels, equipment etc.
* Overall area upkeep and cleanliness. IE: Bays/Office/Dumpster areas
* Ability to perform any of the positions staffed at the wash
* Train new and Coach employees on safety, quality and standard operating procedures
* Accountable for overall performance of the team.
* Provide feedback, coaching, and corrective action to employees as needed to maintain standards and improve performance.
* Schedule employees according to the staffing model. Monitor hourly to ensure labor goals are met.
* Delegate employees to stay productive and maintain standards of the wash/building/lot and use them to keep all supplies filled, towels washed and folded, equipment clean

• Must have valid driver’s license for at least 6 months
• Minimum of 16 ½ years old
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co workers
• Ability to stand for more than 8 hours, walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching/squatting. Frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 20-50lbs is required.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
