State Vehicle Inspector

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the quality of automotive components and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes, as well as the ability to identify defects and recommend necessary corrections. The Inspector will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our automotive services.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and automotive parts to assess their condition and compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical evaluations and repairs as needed.
• Document inspection findings, including any discrepancies or areas requiring attention, and communicate these effectively to the service team.
• Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to ensure that all repairs meet quality standards before vehicles are returned to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to enhance inspection techniques.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to auto body repair and restoration.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections or repairs.
• Familiarity with automotive service procedures, including auto restoration techniques, is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying issues effectively.
• Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and providing clear feedback on inspection results.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $26.25 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 60 per week
