Autocam Medical is a global contract manufacturer of orthopedic implants, spinal implants, precision instruments and orthopedic cutting tools. We offer a value-added approach to high-precision manufacturing, with specialties in CNC milling, turning and cutter grinding.
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Quality Assurance Inspector/CMM Programmer to join our team! Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Sr. Quality Assurance Inspector/CMM Programmer is responsible with supporting our high standards of precision and quality products in the inspection of medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CMM including, CMM calibration, CMM operation (Hexagon - PC DMIS)
- Conducts inspections requirements at First Article, In-Process, Incoming & Final Inspection.
- Document inspection results by completing reports & logs. Input data into quality database.
- Executes timely & accurate disposition of non-conforming material.
- Work closely and collaborate with other members of Engineering, Sales, QC team, and plant personnel
Requirements
- Expert in reading blueprints and full understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of mechanical inspection and proficiency in the use of manual & visual inspection equipment: i.e. Calipers, gauges, micrometers, digital indicators, surface plates, optical comparators, microscopes, coordinate measuring machine, profilometers, hardness/durometer testers.
- Understands travelers and work instructions.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong data entry skills and detail oriented.
- Problem solving ability with an organized & analytical approach.
- Familiar with the EPICOR operating system is a plus.
- Proven ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to ever-changing fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485/ISO 9001 standards.
- 5 years of Inspection experience in a Medical Operations environment is a plus. Experience using a wide variety of equipment and tolerances.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- CMI Certification or equivalent preferred.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
