Summary: Laundry Attendant
The role of the Laundry Attendant is to support the Housekeeping team while ensuring the cleanliness of our property and delighting our guests. This role is responsible for ensuring property linen is washed, dried, folded, and ironed as scheduled, as well as delivered to the linen closets.

Requirements
Essential Functions

- Sort, weigh and load linen into appropriate carts or machines.
- Pre-treat laundry for stains.
- Load and unload washers and dryers, operate machines, and record poundage amounts, and amounts washed and dried.
- Fold towels either by hand or in a towel folder, iron table linens, iron and fold sheets, fold pillowcases, blankets, bed pads, etc.
- Sort and separate damaged or stained linen, i.e., repair or use as rags
- Observe safety rules and maintain a safe environment
- Clean lint traps from dryers daily; check and clean drains as necessary
- Contribute to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required
- Change linens on cribs
- Load and unload the dishwasher
- Helps to create a positive and upbeat workplace by being friendly, helpful, and accommodating to guests, clients, and co-Team Members.
- Assists guests with questions and requests.
- Represents Field Station in a professional and courteous manner; pay attention to the details in your personal appearance and grooming.
- Learn how to carry out property emergency procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Performs any other duties as requested by management.
Competencies
- Able to arrive for assigned shifts on time.
- Must have an understanding of how to properly use assigned cleaning equipment and products.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning product handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to solve practical problems and know how to navigate ambiguous situations where standards have not been established.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning / laundry product handling and safety procedures.
- Able to operate cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner.
- Thoroughness and an attention to detail.
- Excellent and attentive customer service.
- Must be able to life up to 50 pounds.
Required Education and Experience
- No educational requirement.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Prior experience working as a housekeeper in hospitality or hospitals
Must be authorized to work in the United States. Valid documentation will be required to certify the I-9, and background check.
Must be available on weekends and evenings.
