Your Mission
Oversee the daily activities of the warehouse; including receiving, put away, materials delivery/replenishment to the production line, and outbound shipping for service orders. Implement and sustain efficient and effective internal logistics operation in order to achieve Inventory accuracy, on time material availability to the line, and overall productivity of the operation.
Responsibilities
Ensure the safe operation and storage practices within all areas of the warehouse; fork lifts, tuggers, docks, storage and racking
Establish, set, train and audit standard work for all warehouse area processes
Develop a team that understands and delivers the Autocar goals and objectives through the use of the company toolset.
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse storage which includes PFEP & 5s, and transportation
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
Liaise with suppliers and vendors
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
Ensure inventory integrity in the warehouse is at a 95% minimum level, identify root cause for inaccuracy and continuous improvement actions to drive improvement
Ensure 100% on time outbound delivery
Manage warehouse staffing to optimize daily goals for delivery and accuracy which include component kit and bulk delivery, inbound component receipts and storage as well as outbound shipping
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Requirements
10 years in internal logistics operations role, of which 7 are in leading the operation
Experience with 3PL start-ups from ground up
Practical experience with a Lean Production System, namely pull production and replenishment
Preference given to candidates with proven 3PL logistics leadership experience with proven results
