What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Worker - 3rd Shift position at Autocast?
1. Steam clean diecast machines and floors as required
2. Sweep and clean all floors in plant
3. Empty all trash cans and pick up littered areas
4. Clean lunchroom and picnic table area
5. Weekly clean and wash all windows in plant
6. Clean both men's and womens bathrooms restocking toilet paper, soaps, and paper towels as needed
7. Remove snow from sidewalks and other areas requiring access
8. Help maintain proper stock of shop supplies, TP, towels, cleaners, ect.
9. Must be capable of lighting furnaces if they malfunction and notify department leader of those type of actions required
10. Must be capable of operating the sweeper/floor scrubber machine
11. Clean trenches in diecast departments as needed
12. Help maintain clean and organized safe work environment in the plant including following 5S
13.Clean diecast machines, robots, trim presses and other auxililary equipment as needed
14.Keep plant clean and organized including following department 5S requirements
15.Obey and practice all safety procedures and properly use LOTO and wear required PPE
16. Any other duties that management may deem necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and building occupants
