Bookkeeping Specialist
Location: The Trail Youth, North Bend, WA (Hybrid: On-site and Remote)
Job Type: Part-Time (5 to 10 hours per week); Compensation: $26-$35 per hour, depending on experience
About Us
At The Trail Youth, we are dedicated to empowering young people and their families by providing resources, mentorship, and community support. We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill a unique bookkeeping role. Key Responsibilities
- Record and track financial transactions.
- Serve as the primary interface for external accountants.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate payroll processing with external bookkeeping firm
- Assist with monthly financial reporting.
- Maintain organized financial records and assist with other reporting.
- Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
- Coordinate tax preparation, financial reviews, and annual audits.
- Prepare invoicing for patrons and grantors.
- Historical record keeping (payroll, tax documents, etc.) and other finance related tasks.
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- Ability to assist in holding staff accountable for completing required financial tasks in a professional but firm manner.
- Attention to detail, an ability to “juggle” effectively, and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and comfortable with a computer and new systems.
- A problem-solver who enjoys balancing numbers and logistics.
- Excellent communication skills.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This is a hybrid role with generally one in-person workday per week.
- Hours worked will be within standard business hours of 9:00am-5:00pm.
