Entry Level Parts Employee

AutoFair Ford of Haverhill is seeking a Entry Level Parts Employee to join our team. Are you currently working in a retail parts store and feel like there is no opportunities to further your career? "What does a team-based pay plan consist of?" - We need the kind of person who can hold their selves personally accountable through supporting the team to ensure everyone has a high quality of life / work balance.

"What is the facility like?" - AC, all new equipment, over 20 bays, very organized.

"I am smart and good with customers (great customer service skills) but I do not know anything about parts." - That's ok, if you are the right candidate, we will teach you.

"What is the schedule like?" - 40 hours per week including Saturdays with every Sunday off.

"Will I spend a lot of time on my feet? I like to get my steps in." - Yes, we will help you achieve your "stand goal" since you will be ordering and picking parts all day.

"Who will I be selling parts to?" - Some retail parts customers, but mostly we are providing parts for our shop. Our goal is to keep our highly trained certified technicians busy fixing our customers' vehicles rather than standing in line waiting on parts.

"Who would I report to?" - We have an energetic leader in the parts department who will work with you to help you learn and grow in the role. We want to prepare you for the next opportunity (if you want it) to grow with the company!

Responsibilities:

• Taught to oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status.
• Taught to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and speaking to specific parts.
• Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers.
• Taught to review body shop estimates to verify the parts ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provide high level service to both internal and external customers.
• Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and prior auto parts sales experience (preferred)
• Eager to improve in a dynamic work environment
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents
• Ability to calculate figures/amounts including; discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, %, area, circumference, and volume
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
