Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to install, repair, and maintain plant equipment to provide maximum safety, quality and performance of all production and support operations. In addition, they are to preserve and maintain all physical structures grounds, including all electrical, piping and utility networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:
• Follow all safety policies and procedures as established by the company when performing any tasks, including LOTO.
• Report all safety violations and unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor, Operations Manager, or Safety Coordinator.
• Work with Operations Manager and Maintenance Supervisor to determine daily and weekly requirements, projects, and timing.
• Diagnose problems or potential issues, replace and repair parts, follow up with production to assure problem is resolved.
• Make scheduled and unscheduled repairs on all machines and related equipment used in manufacturing.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment as defined and when required by AutoGate’s PM program.
• Ensure all preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and tools is properly documented and submitted to the Operations Manager/Maintenance Supervisor
• Assist in the analysis of data from PM’s to help determine any necessary actions or corrections needing to be taken to permanently prevent reoccurring problems and downtime.
• Perform routine inventory of spare parts, supplies, and tools and submit requisitions for parts to the Plant Operations Manager/Maintenance Supervisor for proper approval and authorization to help maintain proper stock levels.
• Review and inspect equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operating conditions
• Work with outside maintenance contractors to assist in task completion and to assure safe and effective behavior of contractors and their employees.
• Setup and operate lathes, milling machines, drills, and grinders to fabricate and/or repair machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and other tools
• Maintain work areas in clean and orderly condition.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
• The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, crouch, and / or crawl.
• Regularly lift and /or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Use Maintenance software to update workorders & removed inventory.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, positive attitude, Five (5) years of strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, including installing and troubleshooting 120VAC, 240VAC, and 480V 3 Phase systems, PLC, and fabrication experience with strong OSHA compliance knowledge. Also experience in plumbing, carpentry, welding, and vehicle servicing preferred.
Average to above average problem-solving skills, math skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematic, maintain accurate timely records, write routine reports and correspondence, communicate well verbally, and proficient with computer applications. Be able to perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Knowledge of Maintenance Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. High degree of organization and ability to work well without supervision. Ability to setup and operate machine tools. Team player with strong work ethic.
Salary : $24 - $36
