The HSE Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, and productive workplace, including communicating and enforcing standards and procedures, training workers, and representing the interests of Autoliv.

The HSE Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, and productive workplace, including communicating and enforcing standards and procedures, training workers, and representing the interests of Autoliv.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
- Lead investigations of any incidents or accidents to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and best practices.
- Organize and conduct employee training on relevant HSE topics, emergency response plans, and environmental policies.
- Collaborate with management and engineering to develop solutions that minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.
- Oversee waste management plans, including recycling, disposal, and waste reduction efforts.
- Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports and documentation to regulatory bodies as required.
- Monitor workplace environments to ensure they meet health and safety standards and policies.
- Required – Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene and/or related field experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and collaborate with various levels of operating to identify and mitigate actual or potential safety risks.
- Able to work closely with other operational personnel to solve problems, improve operations and achieve 100% compliance.
- Ability to effectively lead and participate in a team environment.
- Skills in managing projects from conception to termination.
- Proven excellent interpersonal and analytical communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the line organization to build rapport, drive accountability for safety and zero incident mentality.
