What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Autoliv?
The Quality engineer is responsible for the quality processes in the initiator and inflator bays. The quality engineer takes the lead for all quality issues and activities for the Ogden Technical Center.

- Control plans, quality documents, quality processess.
- Works with engineers to build quality product in an R&D prototype environment.
- Leads audits in the prototype bays and ensures all Autoliv quality standards are being met.
- Qualifies machines with the process engineer and documents capabilities and machine qualification.
- Leads root cause quality activities as required to create corrective actions using the newton 8d system.
- Works in a team environment with engineers, technicians, process engineers and the technical support team.
- Works with suppliers to ensure the inflators and initiators have quality components which meet print.
- Brainstorms quality requirements that may be needed for new designs in prototype and production.
- Works in the Autoliv Newton quality system.
- Creates presentations as needed to communicate quality needs.
- Creates quality alerts as needed and communicates with other plants when quality issues arise.
- Yokotens quality issues with other plants as required.
- Cross training in other areas of prototype operations. (Cushion, Module, , material) Very minimal if any travel required
- Bachelors degree in engineering.
- 2-5 years of quality or production experience in an engineering role preferred.
- Willingness to work with Cross functional teams and off hours if required to work quality issues with engineers or customers to resolve issues quickly.
