Autoliv is looking to hire Summer Intern to work under the guidance of team engineers to perform basic professional engineering assignments for Central Quality at its Auburn Hills, MI, location. The role entails collaborating closely with engineers from multiple departments within Autoliv.

- Inter-company warranty support of Teardown and Testing of returned product.
- Coordination and follow up of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action details for Warranty returns not supported at ATC.
- Assist in Cataloging and Inventory of Customer Master Samples for Appearance Lab/inventory count.
- Coordination of Appearance lab shipping of samples for AAR approvals signatures by customer and suppliers
- Special projects as assigned.
- Many opportunities for job rotation within Autoliv.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Travel should be limited.
- Receive New Customer Plaque enter them into Master Inventory List on SharePoint Site
- Create New Color Standard in Data Color 500
- Create file folders and file into physical inventory.
- Receive plaques and check into inventory.
- Create ship memos and disperse to suppliers.
- Receive parts in from supplier, Verify packing slips and contents.
- Create Part Sample Folders and Label, File Catalog
- Administer and record Spectrophotometer and Gloss Readings
- Perform batch readings on new parts against the customer's color master plaque.
- Assist with inventory selection and relocation of older files to offsite inventory/warehouse.
- Possible Go& See travel with CQM or CE to customer locations.
- Must be attending an accredited University, enrolled in an Engineering or Business bachelor’s degree program.
- Entry level experience
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to use basic shop tools to tear down parts.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
- Effective communication, organization and multi-tasking capability required.
