Position Summary
The Ordering, Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ordering, managing and tracking the flow of parts and products in and out of the warehouse or storage facility. This role ensures that parts are ordered, shipments are received, inspected, and processed promptly and accurately, and that outgoing shipments are packed and dispatched efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Order material: Per requests of other departments, order materials accurately and in a timely manner.
- Receiving Goods: Unloading trucks, inspecting incoming shipments for accuracy and damages, and signing off on delivery slips.
- Documenting Shipments: Recording incoming and outgoing shipments in the inventory management system.
- Packing and Shipping: Preparing and packaging products for shipment, ensuring they are labeled correctly and meet shipping standards.
- Inventory Management: Keeping accurate records of stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and reporting discrepancies.
- Coordination: Communicating with shipping companies, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Good communication skills a must
- Experience in shipping and receiving or a related field
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification may be required)
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and ordering software
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent
