SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER AND / OR SOLIDWORKS DESIGNERS ONLY PLEASE!
We are seeking talented people with skills and the drive to succeed. Degree is not necessary. We are looking for people with real world experience 3 years to 20 that can be beneficial to our Engineering Department. The team is tasked with applying ACT's proven technologies to create new custom machine configurations for our wide ranging customer applications from industrial, aerospace, and defense.
Mid-level to senior level experienced personnel are encouraged to apply. Compensation is commensurate with experience with profit-based bonus plan.
Responsibilities : The successful candidate is skilled and experienced as follows :
- Metal and plastic sheet metal and part design.
- Develop designs in 3D CAD (Solidworks / PDM / ACAD) The candidate must have verifiable experience with Solidworks and pass a site evaluation.
- Take project direction from managers to create renderings, fabrication drawings, approval drawings and concepts.
- Excellent communication skills with sales, leadership and team to ensure that designed products meet customer requirements and performance goals.
- Able to work in a team environment and be in the game for total team success!
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to prioritize design steps to achieve the completed design work ahead of schedule.
- Must be able to understand metal working design and apply cutting, bend radius, and tig welding ques to create accurate fabrication drawings in a timely manner.
- Operate design software directly linked with the ERP software.
- Perform FEA and record data and calculations
- Develop P & ID drawings.
- Select pumps, heaters, pneumatics to suit system intended capacities.
- Interface with the Electrical Department on wireway routing and approval drawings.
- Prepare manuals, charts, graphs that meet ACT and its customer's design standards.
Requirements : SolidWorks certification with minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant manufacturing industry
Expect to work hours as necessary to keep projects on schedule and work toward bonus completion schedules.
Salary : Commensurate with experience; bonus program
