We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with all financial processes. This role will oversee all financial reporting, cash flow management, and general ledger accuracy while maintaining strong relationships with key financial partners. The ideal candidate has a strong background in logistics finance, billing, collections, and cash flow planning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On-time and accurate billing
- On-time and accurate accounts payable (AP)
- On-time and accurate accounts receivable (AR)
- On-time and accurate financial reporting (monthly & annually)
- General ledger (GL) and balance sheet accuracy
Key Responsibilities:
- LMA (Leadership, Management, Accountability): Lead, manage, and hold the finance team accountable for achieving department goals and driving continuous improvement.
- Core Process Owner: Establish, document, and enforce financial processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
- General Ledger & Compliance: Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP principles.
- Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Integrity: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, implementing best practices and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Cash Flow & Credit Management: Own the health of cash flow and working capital while maintaining credit rating accuracy with insurance companies, factoring companies, banking partners, and credit reporting agencies.
Qualifications:
- Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA) experience
- Strong background in logistics finance
- Expertise in general ledger, balance sheet management, billing, collections, cash flow planning, and accounts payable (AP)
- Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial software
- Experience managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions
- 4PL Managed Transportation experience preferred
