Job Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance and repair of all manufacturing equipment, including vending machine production lines, ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and improving overall efficiency. This role involves supervision of maintenance technician(s), developing preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Maintenance and repair of vending machine manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, welders, conveyors, injection molding machines, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate and supervise emergency repairs to keep production running efficiently.
2. Preventative & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop, implement, and manage a preventative maintenance program to extend equipment lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential failures before they occur.
- Ensure spare parts inventory is well-stocked and organized to reduce repair time.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, train, and mentor a maintenance technician, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Assign work orders, monitor task completion, and ensure maintenance team productivity.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance technical skills.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct safety training and enforce proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Lead the implementation of workplace safety initiatives and audits.
Requirements
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
