Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Leader to lead our installation teams in delivering exceptional high-end, custom motorized shading and window treatments. This role is pivotal in managing on-site installation crews, ensuring that each project is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and customer service skills to manage complex installations in luxury residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Team Leadership:
o Lead, motivate, and manage installation crews, assigning tasks, and ensuring team members are aligned with project goals.
o Provide on-site training, guidance, and feedback to improve team skills and productivity.
· Installation Management:
o Oversee the installation of custom motorized shading solutions, ensuring precision, functionality, and aesthetic excellence.
o Manage multiple projects concurrently, keeping them on schedule and within budget.
· Quality Control:
o Perform quality inspections at key installation stages to ensure adherence to design specifications and company standards.
o Implement corrective measures for any deviations from quality expectations.
· Client Communication:
o Act as the main point of contact for clients during the installation process, updating them on progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
o Educate clients on the operation and maintenance of their new shading systems.
· Project Coordination:
o Coordinate with project managers, designers, and the shop to ensure materials, equipment, and information are ready for each installation.
· Problem Solving:
o Identify and resolve installation challenges, whether they are technical, logistical, or personnel-related.
o Make on-the-spot decisions to keep projects moving forward effectively.
· Safety Enforcement:
o Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and use appropriate safety gear.
o Report and manage any safety incidents or near-misses.
· Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of crew activities, installation progress, and client interactions.
o Complete necessary documentation for billing, project closure, or post-installation service.
· Equipment & Tool Management:
o Oversee the care and maintenance of installation tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
· Continuous Improvement:
o Suggest improvements in installation techniques or processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
o Stay informed about the latest trends in motorized shading technologies and installation methods.
Qualifications:
· Experience:
o At least 2 years of experience in installation, with 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in luxury or custom window treatments.
· Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
o Expert knowledge of motorized shading systems, installation processes, and troubleshooting.
o Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
o Proficient in customer service and communication, both with team members and clients.
· Education:
o High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education in construction, engineering, or related fields is a plus.
· Certifications:
o Certifications related to electrical work, home automation, or construction safety are highly valued.
· Physical Requirements:
o Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working at heights, and navigating various installation sites.
· Licenses:
o Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
