PARTS SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Parts Specialist processes orders and assists in answering questions customers may have regarding equipment parts. Communication channels include online/website, email, phone or in person. This position is the primary contact for many customers seeking information on equipment parts as well as working alongside sales personnel to assist with troubleshooting and service.
· Receives in-person and phone inquiries, informs customer of unit prices, potential shipping dates, and anticipated delays if any.
· Computes price, discounts, and potential shipping charges.
· Accepts payment of orders.
· Data entry of orders into computer software.
· Assists the team in reviewing completed orders for errors.
· Files/scans copies of orders received.
· Checks inventory and notifies purchasing of any orders that could deplete stock.
· Work with sales, shipping and/or warehouse team on inventory shipments.
· Aware of the duties at hand. Works with the parts team to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
· Assist in keeping inventory room organized.
· Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Education/background in agriculture is a plus.
· Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.
· Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
· Ability to problem solve customer needs.
· Forklift certified or the ability to become certified.
· Good customer service and communication skills.
· Occasional overtime and weekend hours.
· Regular attendance is required.
· Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
Working Conditions:
· Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds daily.
· Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
· Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
· Repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
