Summary
Prepare wiring diagrams, panel assembly diagrams and layout drawings used for the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment.
Job Functions
- Draft detail and assembly drawings of design components and circuitry, using computer assisted equipment or standard drafting techniques.
- Draft working drawings, wiring diagrams and wiring connection specifications, as required for instructions to installation crew.
- Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets to be checked by a Sr. Engineer.
- Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to be spanned by wire and cable.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or related field experience.
- Proficiency in CAD electrical and pneumatic schematic creation.
- Knowledge of ePlan is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards applicable in construction of industrial equipment.
