Automatic Products is a busy Sumner Machine Shop manufacturing parts for both commercial and aerospace customers. We are currently looking for a Production Coordinator. We have been in business for over 40 years and continue to grow. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· The Production Coordinator is responsible for helping maintain the overall flow of jobs through the shop, to ensure customer demands are supported to the best of Automatic Products ability.
· Use our MRP system to review open orders and help identify jobs that are falling behind schedule
· Document delay causes in open orders for weekly production meetings
· Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, QA, Department Leads as needed to ensure smooth operation.
· Monitor and route jobs from completed job staging areas.
· Prioritize jobs in department staging areas.
· Closely monitor late and/or expedited jobs to ensure they are moved operation to operation in a timely manner
· Deliver or pick up hot jobs from outside vendors as deemed necessary
· Move material to machines for expedited jobs when requested
· Assist in Shipping, Receiving, and Assembly as necessary
· Process rush verifications as needed
· Operate the forklift when needed
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
· High school graduate or GED (waived with experience)
· 5 Years machine shop experience preferred
Technical Skills:
· Valid Washington driver’s license
· Ability to use a computer
· Ability to operate a forklift
Physical:
· Ability to sit, stand, and move around throughout the day, as necessary
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Mental/Emotional:
· Mental capability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately under time constraints
· Emotionally able to deal with feedback, should it occur, on inaccuracy or incompleteness of performance
· Ability to handle decision making, problem solving, and record keeping
· Effective verbal and written communication
· Strong attention to detail even under high-pressure situations
· Ability to work amiably with customers, coworkers, and management
Salary Range:
· $25 - $32 Depending On Experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
