Industrial Cleaning & Equipment Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a motivated and experienced Industrial Cleaning & Equipment Operator for a company based in Selma, AL. This is a 2nd shift position.Must be mechanically inclined who enjoys a mix of cleaning and light maintenance tasks.This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is mechanically inclined but doesn't necessarily have a maintenance expert background. 18.00 per hour Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 2 : 30 pm to 11 : 00 pm. Job Title Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning duties, including operating a sweeper, cleaning high and hard-to-reach areas using a manlift (up to 30-40 feet), while wearing proper safety equipment (harness).
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility, including the removal of dust, debris, and other materials.
- Forklift, sweeper, manlift, variety of tools, etc.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as basic repairs, inspections, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
- Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and materials, as needed.
- Always adhere to safety protocols, including working at heights and using industrial cleaning equipment.
- Other duties as assigned. Job Title Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proper unexpired documents required to complete the Federal I-9 process.
- Background and Drug Testing are required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Comfortable with heights and working in dusty environments.
- Basic mechanical skills and a hands-on approach to solving minor maintenance issues.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift 50lb throughout shift. (Lifting assessment given in the office)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
