Diesel Technician

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of concrete transport and pumping trucks. This role focuses exclusively on ensuring the trucks and equipment are in optimal working condition, playing a critical part in supporting construction operations.

Schedule :

  • Monday through Friday
  • 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM
  • Temp to Hire
    • Pay Rate :
  • 27 / hour

Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and concrete pumping equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in fleet vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and prevent downtime.
  • Replace or repair defective components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and pumps.
  • Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with operators to understand equipment concerns and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
  • Manage tools and equipment inventory necessary for repairs.

    • Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic specializing in heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques specific to heavy equipment repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Physical capability to handle heavy parts and tools in a workshop setting.
  • Prior Hemmings engine experience
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certifications are a plus.
