What are the responsibilities and job description for the Injection Mold Technician position at Automation Plastics Corporation?
Automation Plastics is looking for an experienced Mold Setter Technician on Midnight Shift. The Mold Setter Technician sets up and monitors the operation of molds and the processing of plastics parts to meet customer requirements by performing the following duties.
Shift: Midnight Shift 11:30 pm - 7:15 am
**Will receive a shift premium**
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Mold Tech
- Sets and starts molds and required auxiliary equipment for new production run as outlined in the work instruction for parts to be produced to production specifications
- Responds to quality assurance requests for corrective action by performing and documenting process adjustments
- Performs job changeover by removing and storing tool and auxiliary equipment to prepare machine for next production run
- Assists with the start-up and shutdown of all processing equipment
- Document all process changes and/or molding problems on Job History Log
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed
Education/Experience of the Mold Tech
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 1-year minimum related experience or training
- Must have Injection Molding experience
Pay is dependent on experience.
