About the RoleAre you passionate about designing and optimizing automated systems? As an Automation Engineer, you'll play a vital role in enhancing safety, quality, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. From designing and programming to simulating and testing, you’ll take charge of automation projects that drive innovation and reduce costs in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation projects, including new installations and retrofits, to improve safety, quality, and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with process and industrial engineers on automation-driven improvement projects.
- Provide advanced problem-solving support and skill training to technicians.
- Conduct capacity analysis and maintain assigned SPA (Single Point of Accountability) areas.
- Ensure customer requirements are met with precision and efficiency.
- Create detailed documentation and manuals for fully functional automated systems.
- Other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience:
- Knowledge of industrial machine control circuits and components.
- Proficiency in electrical schematic design.
- Hands-on experience with PLC/HMI systems.
- Experience with robotics and vision systems (e.g., Fanuc, Cognex, Universal Robotics).
- Software/script development and database experience.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Requires good vision (close, peripheral, and depth perception).
Work Environment
- Work in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned factory settings.
