Relocation Note: Currently located in Pell City, AL, ARC will be relocating to a new facility in Childersburg, AL, starting in early 2025.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Control Systems Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for wiring and assembling control panels in our panel shop, as well as assisting with the installation and commissioning of these systems at industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wire and assemble control panels for industrial control systems according to detailed schematics and device layouts.
- Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of control systems at various sites.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on control systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Work alongside engineers and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of control and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, device layouts, and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for panel assembly.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and fix complex issues.
- Familiarity with PLC programming is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction/coaching.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 2 years of panel wiring experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
