What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Hand (Entry Level) position at Automation Services?
Automation Services is need of a new, full-time, entry level Shop Hand. This individual will be expected to use hand and basic power tools to assemble product, run band saws and power sanders, make paint stencils and use them to paint weldments, make deliveries and part pickups using the company van and truck, participate in shop housekeeping, drive a forklift (if capable) and any other items to support Shop activities. This individual is expected to be an organized and self-starting individual who can work well in a team. Willing to train the right candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Use hand and basic power tools to assemble product
- Run band saws and power sanders
- Make paint stencils and use them to paint weldments
- Make deliveries and part pickups using the company van and truck
- Participate in shop housekeeping
- Drive a forklift (if capable)
- Any other items to support Shop activities
Qualifications:
- Mechanical ability and aptitude
- Familiar with the use of hand tools, power tools and basic bench top tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Windows-based software
- Must be willing to work up to 55 hours a week, including some Saturdays
- Good attention to detail
- Highly motivated
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work with others as a team
- Desire to take on new tasks and learn new skills
- Self-starter who wants to improve themselves and the company
