ATI is adding a CAD Drafter to the team. The CAD Drafter will develop detailed drawings for supporting equipment control systems, electronic panels/and sub-assemblies, and other miscellaneous projects. Seeking candidates trained in or having previous experience with computer-aided drafting elements with component level schematics, electronic/electrical wiring, or mechanical assembly per customer requirements. Automation Technology Inc (ATI), is a stable, 40-year-old, Dayton-based manufacturer of computer controlled electronic test equipment used by manufacturers of electric motors, power tools, appliances, automotive, military, etc. The CAD Drafter collaborates in a fast-paced environment on industry-leading equipment with innovative technology and experienced engineering leadership. CAD Drafter responsibilities include:
- Creation of CAD detailed drawings for custom test equipment, control system projects.
- Design and develop hardware drawings supporting existing designs in CAD.
- Complete/update Bill of Materials and change orders as needed in Excel.
- Creation of component level CAD drawings schematics and change orders for existing printed wiring boards.
- Process Engineering change requests as needed.
- Maintain structural CAD files for use in structural design drawings, (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshoot).
- Creation of CAD drawings for fabrication of electrical system components, parts, and equipment.
- Layout of parts and subassemblies using templates and/or measurement tools.
- Reading schematic drawings, blueprints, work orders, and reports to determine materials and system requirements.
CAD Drafter Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, or similar programs.
- Strong grasp of electrical/electronic fundamental concepts, symbols, definitions, and reference designations.
- Familiarity with multimeters and other measurement instruments.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Cooperate with the technical engineering team and share information across the organization.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity standards.
CAD Drafter Education and Experience:
- Advanced experience working with AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
- Experience working in the manufacturing Industry; electric motor, equipment build-preferred.
- Experience in safety guidelines.
- 1-3 years’ experience in electrical wiring and or electronics a plus.
