Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving financial strategy and ensuring fiscal discipline across the organization. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with experience in logistics and SaaS environments, financial planning and analysis, and a proven record of accomplishment in managing finance operations within technology-driven companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives and growth plans.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision making and drive strategic initiatives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends to inform executive decisions and operational improvements.
- Lead efforts in capital structure optimization, including debt and equity financing.
- Collaborate with investors and financial institutions to secure funding for growth initiatives.
- Implement robust financial controls, processes, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage corporate risk, ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal audits and work closely with external auditors.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
- Collaborate with operational, product, and technology teams to align financial strategy with business objectives.
- Provide financial guidance on strategic projects, including new product initiatives and market expansion strategies.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced qualification strongly preferred.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive finance experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior leadership role within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
- Experience in the logistics, transportation, or supply chain automation sectors.
- Familiarity with advanced financial systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Experience in scaling finance operations in a high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Proven experience in capital management, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS business models, subscription revenue metrics, and related financial dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
