Summary
As a Recruiter with APCO, you will be responsible for the full cycle recruiting efforts of our rapidly growing organization. You can expect to implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization while influencing and improving our processes. This role will have a deep integration into the business and will require someone that can support a variety of leaders and employees across multiple business lines and locations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of our business in order to position the Talent Acquisition function of APCO as a strong business partner. This position plays an integral role in the Human Resources team and contributing to our overall success by providing a high level of customer service, administrative support, and project coordination throughout the recruiting process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages full-cycle recruitment process from approvals/intake meetings through offers and pre-employment onboarding. Regular work load: 20 open requisitions per month.
- Serves as APCO’s primary contact for external candidates and provides support for internal candidates. This includes follow-up with candidates as needed.
- Maintains independent management of all recruiting activities and shares status of activities with key stakeholders.
- Sources candidates via various methods including job boards, employee referrals, job fairs, etc.
- Assists organizational leadership in coordinating, scheduling, and conducting successful interview; provides appropriate resources as necessary to new managers.
- Works to understand the short- and long-term talent needs of the organization by partnering with HR and functional business leaders across various departments. This supports the Talent Acquisition goal of building a best-in-class TA strategy that achieves APCO’s goal of attracting and hiring top talent.
- Researches and provides recommendations to TA Manager on the overall improvement of APCO’s talent acquisition strategies and processes.
- Prepares interview templates, questionnaires, and recommendations on interview structures.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR team member.
- Shares responsibility for ATS systems management and administration with Talent Acquisition Manager. May train new users as needed. (Current ATS is ApplicantPro.)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

- Ability to quickly learn external job posting sites and other applicable programs.
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience required
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the full-cycle recruitment process
- Must be excited to converse with candidates all day, every day
- A self-starter and team player with great energy and drive
- A creative thinker who can identify opportunities for growth and solutions to help achieve goals
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ATS platforms. Experience with ApplicantPro preferred
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. Employee will need to speak over the phone or video chat with candidates and colleagues for several hours every day.
