Summary
The Senior Business Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, then presenting these findings through reports and visualizations to inform business decisions. This individual will have proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, strong statistical knowledge, data visualization tools and techniques, and effective communication to convey complex information to stakeholders
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data gathering: Collecting data from various sources, including internal databases, APIs, and external sources.
Data cleaning and preparation: Cleaning and structuring data by handling missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies to ensure accuracy.
Statistical analysis: Applying statistical methods to analyze data, identifying trends, and calculating key metrics.
Data visualization: Creating visual representations of data using charts, graphs, and dashboards to effectively communicate insights.
Report generation: Developing and presenting comprehensive reports with actionable insights for decision-making.
Problem solving: Identifying and addressing data quality issues, analyzing anomalies, and finding solutions to complex data problems.
Collaboration: Working with different teams within the organization to understand their data needs and provide relevant analysis.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant Microsoft certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
2 years experience using both SSRS and Power Bi preferred.
Skills
Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL, data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), programming languages like Python or R.
Statistical knowledge: Understanding of statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability.
Analytical thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Data visualization skills: Creating clear and impactful data visualizations.
Communication skills: Effectively presenting complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Attention to detail: Ensuring data accuracy and consistency throughout the analysis process.
Industry Knowledge: Experience within the F&I industry is a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
