Summary
The Senior Compliance Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely preparation, filing and maintenance of all corporate licenses, certificates of authority and other regulatory or corporate filings including, but not limited to, Form filings, Secretary of State filings, Provider Registrations and Renewals and applications for licensure. Such duties and responsibilities also include tracking and updating the corporate/regulatory filing requirements and providing periodic status reports to management.
In addition, this role is expected to analyze current processes and make suggestions for improvements to increase efficiency throughout the OLRA department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare filings for regulatory review and communicate with regulators as necessary to secure approvals of product contracts, company licenses and registrations.
- Possess and maintain knowledge and expertise regarding forms, processes, relationships, and all aspects of APCO’s products, services, processes and business units.
- Identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes to optimize performance, meet best practice standards or simply improve quality to increase efficiencies.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or minimum 2 years’ experience in regulatory compliance of service contracts and automobile ancillary products or related field (insurance, financial services).
- Experience in process improvement initiatives.
Skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team framework
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign)
- Must be highly analytical, process oriented and collaborative
- Must be intrinsically motivated (cannot require constant support/supervision)
- Must be able to work successfully with team members in multiple locations
- Must communicate in a clear, direct and effective manner with people at all levels in the organization and with varying levels of technical knowledge
- Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple tasks of varying complexity and priority
- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to share complex, technical topics clearly, concisely, effectively and professionally
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time.
