Description
Role Summary: The Supervisor for Sorting will plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution operations of products and materials. They will also perform supervisory duties as assigned. Responsible for consistent application of standard operating policies (SOPs) and the administration in the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with operating procedures for receiving, handling, sorting, and SKUing of products and materials.
- Ensures a safe working environment for all team members.
- Review received orders check in, OOS reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and issue work assignments.
- Analyze process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes.
- Supervise the activities of team members engaged in receiving, storing, and SKUing products.
- Train, coach and develop team members.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- 2 years' experience in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience managing a team of hourly team members in a fast-paced production, distribution, or similar environment.
- Experience training, coaching, and developing team members. Experience managing temporary staff as well.
- Intermediate skill level with MS Office and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM)
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics with the ability to effectively communicate the business translation to your team members.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and possessing the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect a problem and present realistic solution.
- Ability to lift or move 50lbs.
- Self-directed and motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
Expected Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience
Comprehensive benefit package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) and Paid Time-Off.
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
