What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician (PA) position at Automotive Lift Service?
About the Role:
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automotive lifts. This role requires a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems. We highly encourage candidates with experience in auto mechanics, facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical work to apply. While experience with automotive lifts is preferred, we provide full training to the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair automotive lifts for both residential and commercial customers.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on automotive lifts.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining technical issues in a way that’s easy to understand.
- Commit to earning certification as a Certified Lift Inspector through the Automotive Lift Institute.
Qualifications:
- Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a demonstrated aptitude for mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems. Experience with automotive lifts is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in the candidate’s state of residency.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and pass a DOT physical within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Must possess basic tools.
- Ability to handle physical workload of up to 100lbs.
- Ability to work on ladders and scissor lifts up to 25ft.
