Summary of Responsibility
Material handlers are ultimately responsible for internal transport of raw and finished good material and products throughout the plant, along with unloading and loading trucks.
Job Description
- Fulfillment Material Handler: The primary responsibility of this material handler is to pull customer demanded orders, utilizing pull sheets. This includes pulling the order, scanning the order out of inventory, generating the appropriate paperwork and preparing/staging the material to be loaded. Other warehousing responsibilities may be assigned, as support is needed.
- Shipping and Receiving Material Handler: The primary responsibility of this material handler is to support the unloading of raw, incoming goods, validating the product to supplier paperwork and ensuring packaging/containers of incoming material are in good quality; is to support the loading of painted, finished goods, after being pulled and prepared for shipment. Other warehousing responsibilities may be assigned, as support is needed.

- Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
- Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards (5S).
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, non-compliance issues.
- Adheres to DCS’s health and safety, environmental, operating procedures, policies and forms.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous automotive manufacturing/warehouse experience - preferred
- Previous forklift/cherry picker experience or certification - preferred
- General knowledge of FIFO practices
