What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Benco Service Technician / Inspector position at AUTOMOTIVE PARTS HEADQUARTERS?
The Service Technician / Inspector at BENCO Equipment is responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing shop equipment while delivering top-notch service to the customer.
JOB DUITES:
- Install, diagnose and repair shop equipment: 2 and 4 post hoists, tire changers, wheel balancers, industrial air compressors, pressure washers, waste oil heaters, air line systems, lube systems, exhaust systems, and other shop type equipment
- Follow logical steps to troubleshoot the cause of problems with equipment
- Run equipment tests and make adjustments as required
- Prepare equipment for delivery by inspecting and operating machines prior to delivery as able
- Keep up to date and continuing education on new technologies as required
- Accurately report service work performed in a timely manner
- Present yourself in a professional manner at all times
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or (GED) equivalent; Associates Degree or Technical school certificate a plus
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems. Basic computer skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the field
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand the customer’s expectations and work to exceed them
- Ability to work in the field without supervision
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment
- Willingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habits
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed
