Job Summary
The Learning and Development Specialist will perform a wide variety of duties associated with the training, education and development of employees with a strong focus in Store Operations. This includes onboarding new and existing employees to the point-of-sale platform, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills to service our customers. The Learning and Development Specialist will also assist with revising existing policies, procedures, resource guides, and the development and implementation of training programs throughout the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organizes, plans, and presents various skills training for employees through instructor led and virtual environments.
- Assists with the maintenance of training manuals, guides, and course materials.
- Supports training and development by building partnerships with regional managers, location managers, and finance department.
- Gauges program effectiveness using various assessments, surveys, and other forms of feedback.
- Understands trends in learning and development.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to effectively present information to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to learn and use a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Practical experience with learning management software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360 is a plus.
- Previous years of experience preferred.
