What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Store Route Driver - Afternoon/Evening Shift position at AUTOMOTIVE PARTS HEADQUARTERS?
The Store Route Driver is responsible for pulling parts for, delivering parts to and picking up part from specific customers, other stores, and/or customer sites. The route driver is responsible for maintaining the company vehicle they use and documenting any issues with vehicle maintenance following company procedures. The store route driver may assist in maintaining store appearance, security, safety and daily operational standards as set and assigned by the store manager.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure accurate, safe and timely delivery and pick-up of product on the route
- Pick up and deliver parts to customers
- Pick up and drop off freight at sister stores
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time
- Maintain the company vehicle by periodic washing, keeping the interior clean and organized and by checking engine fluid levels as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must understand and abide by federal and state driving rules, practices and procedures and have familiarity with the territory for the position
