St. Augustine Chrysler is hiring for a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Director to lead and manage our pre-owned vehicle department and sales staff. This position is critical to the dealership’s success, focusing on inventory management, sales performance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the acquisition, pricing, and merchandising of all pre-owned vehicles.
- Ensure inventory levels align with market demand and dealership goals.
- Manage vehicle reconditioning processes to maintain high-quality standards.
- Sales Performance:
- Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
- Train and support the sales team in effectively presenting pre-owned vehicles to customers.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing used car sales team.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment focused on customer satisfaction and employee growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, set goals, and address challenges.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure a superior customer experience throughout the sales process.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores for the pre-owned department.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor department profitability, expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Work closely with the finance department to maximize F&I revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all dealership and legal requirements related to sales and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Used Car Manager, Sales Manager, or similar leadership role in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of the automotive market, pricing, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in dealership management software and sales tools.
- High level of integrity and a results-driven mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
