Automotive Service Director

Automotive Service Director opportunity available for a busy import dealership in the Naples, FL market. This is a great opportunity for a Service Director that leads by example, is a true mentor to their team, and brings a positive and consistent attitude to work each day. The successful candidate is a highly organized, process-driven leader who understands both the sales and administrative aspects of service operations, has a strong grasp of KPIs and financial performance, and knows how to drive profitability while maintaining high CSI scores. The department is in good condition, with a strong team of technicians in place, but there is further room for growth with the right leader who has both vision and follow through. The Service Director hired will have support from upper management to get their job done. Must have experience running a high volume shop. This is with a growing import dealership and reputable organization. Thus, it is important that the Service Manager hired has great CSI while also promoting a goal oriented work environment for their team. Lastly, must be a good person with a proven track record and be looking for a long-term opportunity where they can continue to grow and build.

Responsibilities:

• Hire, train, develop and motivate the service department staff and monitor their performance.
• Ensure proper repair techniques are being used.
• Create a positive, performance-oriented, work culture
• Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for quality
• Schedule training as necessary to properly repair and service vehicles
• Hold morning meetings for service department
• Generate a high level of repeat business by ensuring the service experience exceeds client expectations in all respects.
• Stay up to date on product changes and new products.
• Ensure that the service department meets all customer satisfaction (CSI) and financial goals.
• Ensure that all necessary shop equipment is in proper and safe working condition.
• Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired according to specifications
• Administer and report on the annual operating budget for the service department
• Ensure that service needs of the vehicle sales operations are met in a timely and efficient manner
• Define and monitor performance of direct reports by communicating goals and developing work plans, including daily activity reports and monthly/annual task reports
• Collaborate with the parts manager to understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty policy and procedures
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

• Compensation in the $200,000 - $225,000 range based on experience and performance with room for further growth.
• Full benefits package will be provided.
