Stable family owned dealer group is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Manager who can get their service department to the next level. Tons of opportunity for a driven Service Manager with a vision and follow through. The department is in fine condition, with good CSI and a good foundation in place, but there is a ton of untapped potential that is not being captured. Moreover, it is important that the person hired knows how to recruit and retain technicians as there are empty bays available and the dealership has the demand to put out more work. Modern facility and excellent working conditions. The Service Manager hired will have the support from upper management to build the business and grow their department for long-term success. This is a true long-term "home" for a motivated Service Manager who can drive the business. Must be a good person with a good moral compass. 5 day work week.Responsibilities : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service departmentHold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1 : 1s with individual team members.Maintain clear and effective communication with staff, customers, and upper management.Actively strive to grow the department and develop the team through hands-on leadership.Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to enhance department performance.Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.Create a sense of urgency within the department while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining CSI scores at or above regional levels.Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviewsMonitor and control the flow of customer vehicles through the service department, ensuring timely completion of all workReview all service orders and repair estimates, and ensure that all work is completed in accordance with dealership standardsMonitor and maintain service department profitability, including setting and managing departmental budgetsManage and monitor the service BDCHandle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and ensure that all customer issues are resolved promptly and to their satisfactionStay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and technical advances in automotive service, and ensure that all service technicians receive appropriate training and supportOther duties as requiredCompensation : Compensation will be in the $150,000 - $200,000 range depending on experience and performance.Strong benefits package available401(K)Apply : Please apply with your most recent resume at www.automotivesearchgroup.com ; or call Lindsay at 508-620-6300 today for more information.Serious relocation candidates with experience as a Service Manager / Service Director at a new car dealership in the USA will be considered.
