We are looking for a Field Operations Surveyor who is detail-oriented and has an interest in geospatial and mapping software. In this remote, hourly position, you will conduct virtual surveys to determine optimal locations for Automotus sensors. Your work will directly impact our ability to deploy cutting-edge curb management solutions effectively. Salary : $45,000-60,000 Employment Type : This is a full time role. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual surveys using Google Street View and GIS tools to evaluate on-street locations for Automotus sensor placement.
- Apply the Automotus Optical Sensor Model to assess proposed zone locations for monitoring.
- Identify alternative hardware placements when the model does not fit a given location.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of hardware inventory across multiple deployment locations.
- Utilize tools such as Google Earth, BatchGeo, QGIS, and ArcGIS to analyze geographic data.
- Continuously improve the desk survey process by suggesting ways to boost efficiency and reduce turnaround time. What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze street-level imagery.
- Familiarity with geospatial mapping tools (Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar).
- Ability to interpret and apply mapping models for real-world implementation.
- Strong organizational skills to track and manage hardware inventory .
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify alternative solutions when needed.
