Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Service Cashier to join our service team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service by handling service transactions efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and enjoys interacting with people in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet service customers in a professional and welcoming manner as they arrive or leave the dealership.
Payment Processing: Accurately collect and process payments for service and parts invoices via cash, check, or credit card.
Invoice Review: Review and explain charges to customers, ensuring transparency and addressing any questions or concerns.
Clerical Support: Assist with light administrative duties, such as filing, printing repair orders, and scanning documents.
Phone Coverage: Answer incoming calls for the service department and route them appropriately.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts personnel to ensure seamless service operations.
End-of-Day Balancing: Reconcile receipts and payments at the close of business, following dealership accounting procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous cashier, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred—automotive dealership experience is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; able to handle customer interactions with professionalism and care.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organization when handling cash and processing transactions.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using dealership software systems, point-of-sale platforms, and general office tools (Microsoft Office).
Dependability: Reliable with strong time-management skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
