Position Summary:
The AP Check Processor will process check requests while meeting all Service Level Agreements and in compliance with AutoNation policies.
Organizational Relationships:
Interacts with internal customers and external lenders at various levels, peers, supervisor and management.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Process on-demand check requests including generic, titles, lien payoffs, dealer trades, vehicle purchases
2. Process Electronic Funds Transfers for lien payoffs
3. Provide backup for the AP clerk
4. Resolve issues through email and phone when there are check request discrepancies
5. Work and resolve Check Processing problems from the Support Desk, vendors, stores, problem queues, and SSC team members on a daily basis
6. Meet or exceed service level agreements
7. Work with the AP Check Processor Lead to clear items from the Venali
8. Process assigned BPMS queues including Cancellations, Dealer Trades, and WBYC.
9. Perform any other outside projects and/or tasks as assigned
10. Process assigned work in an accurate and timely manner meeting all department requirements.
11. Cross train with other team members
Qualifications:
• Strong data entry skills
• Ability to produce a high volume of work while still maintaining accuracy
• Understand basic accounting principles and logic
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict commitments and deadlines
• Experience handling high volume of paperwork in multiple computer database systems
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate work flow
• Communicate effectively with customer base
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Team player with superior service skills

Physical Requirements:
This is a largely sedentary role with extended period looking at computer monitors and using a keyboard and mouse.
