About the Role

The Chief Engineer is a pivotal role within ASI, responsible for shaping the technical direction of the engineering department. You'll lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, including direct and skip-level reports, to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and align with our strategic objectives. What You'll Do

- Lead and mentor direct reports and skip-level team members across multiple engineering disciplines.

- Shape the technical strategy, engineering processes, and team culture to drive project success.

- Ensure the team adheres to the ASI Product Development Process (PDP) and successfully pass all gate reviews.

- Oversee the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions, ensuring quality, safety, and performance standards.

- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to deliver projects on time and within budget.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and manufacturing, to align engineering efforts with business goals.

- Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

- Build and nurture a robust talent pipeline, promoting professional growth for engineers at all levels.

Who We're Looking For

- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred).

- At least 5 years of senior engineering leadership experience, including managing multi-disciplinary teams and skip-level reporting.

- Strong expertise in engineering principles, processes, and methodologies.

- Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical solutions and meet project milestones.

- Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.

- Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources in a dynamic environment.
